How can I check if a contact is existing before sending an email on Gmail?
SOLVE
Gmail is my email provider connected to Hubspot. Is there a way to check if a single contact or multiple contacts are already existing contacts in my CRM database before sending the emails out?

Hi,
I think to do this in mass is a little more tricky. The way I would suggest doing this is importing the contacts into your CRM and ensure you create a list off the back of that. If the column 'New Updates' is equal to or more than 1 this would then be able to tell you how many contacts were not in the sytem before hand.Once this has been done, you can then of course delete them out of your system.
The only other way of doing this in mass is to find a unique idenifyer across all contacts and filter your CRM by that unique identifyer. Whether that's a country, a custom property; you'll be able to search for that and work out whether the numbers match up.
Please let me know if that was helpful or not.
Thanks,

Hi,
I just wanted to jump on this and say that there are two ways of checking an existing contact within the CRM:
1) Within the CRM, locate to Contacts > Contacts where you're able to use the search function to find the contact.
2) You could install the HubSpot Chrome extension for gmail and be able to use the HubSpot features to determin whether the contact already exists within your CRM. Heres a link that explains this further -https://knowledge.hubspot.com/email-tracking/get-started-with-the-hubspot-sales-chrome-extension

Thanks for the response! Do you know if there's any way to do this in mass? If I'm trying to send an email to multiple contacts at once, how I would go about verifying which ones are new or exisitng contacts? Thanks again for the help!
