Brilliant recipe. As a kid growing up this was a special occasion treat. So much work needed when deep frying & sasauge meat wouldn't stay on. But this recipe with Air Fryer is easy peasy.

Try drying your eggs with a paper towel well, then rolling in flour before you wrap your sausage around the egg. It will help adhere the meat to the egg and then you can roll in eggwash and breadcrumbs or panko.
Hopefully this tip will help you.

I'll be honest, I'm not much of a cook so any recipe or instructions have to be pretty comprehensive for me because I won't adapt well on the fly when things don't quite work out.
For me, the prep time of 5 minutes is wildly out of range, it took me way longer than that. Like I said, not much of a cook.
I also struggled to make a pound of meat cover six eggs, I guess egg size plays a part. Next time I will purposely buy smaller eggs just for this.
I managed to cover five, so went with that.
I found the meat stuck to everything I was preparing with so ended up covering everything with flour, it's not the sort of thing I would know in advance. Once I did that it all worked out.
The actual cooking was the easiest part, I haven't tried one yet as they are still cooling a little but they seems to look the part.
I imagine I will get better at this the more times I do it.

Recipe was great, however the sausage cracked open, even though I couldn’t see any openings when I put them in the air fryer. I’m celiac so I used crushed Rice Chex for the coating, which worked and tasted good. Any idea what I did wrong for them to crack open? They tasted great though.

I'm not sure why that would happen, unless the sausage was just stretched too thin or it was a little dry? If it only split on a few of them, that would be my guess. You could try adding an egg to the sausage so it can be stretched a little easier.

Followed this recipe step-by-step, (including the hard “boiling” egg in air fryer link included) and am very impressed how easy they were to make and how delicious they were. I used hot pork sausage and 🤌🏻🤌🏻.
The sausage was a little tricky to wrap around the egg but you can finesse it to work. Also, I didn’t use ground pork, I used a frozen Jimmy Dean hot sausage tube and had to thaw it in microwave so that might have affected the texture to wrap around egg, but it didn’t affect the taste at all. Air fried all 6 eggs and every thing stayed where it was supposed to stay.
