You might have noticed that I censor a lot of words in my posts and images, including basic words like s*x, v*gina, and p*nis.I create content for social media to make accurate, comprehensive s*xual health information accessible to everyone. But posts with such vocabulary can get flagged by social media platforms and blocked or removed, as they may "go against community guidelines" (i.e., they are concerned these words indicate p*rnographic material).So while my posts are educational in nature, in order to ensure that they don't get flagged, I censor and obscure words that could be problematic, because, for now, I believe accurate and accessible education is more important than spelling.In addition, s*xual health advocates, including myself, have written to request that these guidelines be changed to allow for this necessary health information. So, if this bothers you, too, please add your voice to ours!#healtheducation #yourhealth

Many medications have s*xual side effects. We now have enough research to know that this is true. This is one of the many reasons why it is essentially unethical to not be providing comprehensive s*xual health education in medicine so that all physicians are aware and able to inform their patients of the risks.Furthermore, while we know many medications have s*xual side effects, some medications may cause longer lasting side effects. Yet, we do not know for certain or understand the reasons why. This means there should be much more research on this topic. Better understanding and increased research could also be supported by increased s*xual health education for the health professions.Let's end s*xual stigma and call for increased s*xual health education in health professions to support ethical practice and health!#meded #sexmed #health #ethics #sexedismeded
